Case timeline

Where the Haru bankruptcy stands

Key milestones in the Seoul proceedings, summarized as of mid-2026. Court recovery remains open-ended — which is why many creditors choose to sell now.

  1. Withdrawals halted

Haru Invest suspended customer withdrawals, freezing balances across Earn and related products for thousands of creditors worldwide.

  2. Bankruptcy petition path

After rehabilitation efforts did not proceed, creditors and related parties pursued bankruptcy proceedings for Haru Management Limited in Seoul.

  3. Bankruptcy declared

The Seoul Bankruptcy Court declared Haru Management Ltd. bankrupt (case ~2024Hahap100259). A trustee took charge of assets and the liquidation process.

  4. Initial claim filing deadline

The initial deadline to file creditor claims passed. Under Korean bankruptcy practice, late filings may still be accepted before the final distribution-eligibility cutoff.

  5. Claims investigation hearing

At the Seoul Bankruptcy Court hearing, a substantial portion of filed customer claims were reportedly recognized, with a smaller set subject to objection or further review.

  6. Claim determination deadline

The extended deadline for claim determination petitions concluded. Disputed or objected claims move through formal resolution with the trustee and court.

  7. Liquidation still pending

The trustee is working toward opening a domestic Korean exchange account (Travel Rule compliance) before crypto assets can be liquidated. No retail distribution date has been set. FTX-linked recoveries via B&S Holdings remain contingent on separate legal and KYC steps.

FAQ

Common questions from creditors

Straight answers about buyouts, the Seoul process, and how we work. This is informational — not legal advice.

A claim buyout is a private transaction where you assign your right to distributions from the Haru Management Limited bankruptcy to us in exchange for cash today. You exit the wait; we hold the claim through the court process.

Yes. Creditor claims in bankruptcy can generally be assigned under a formal Assignment of Claim agreement. You complete KYC, sign the documents, and we pay you according to the agreed terms. This is separate from the court’s own distribution process.

Pricing reflects claim size, asset mix, filing status, market conditions for Haru claims, and expected recovery timing and risk. Submit your claim details on the sell page and we will review your case individually — there is no obligation to sell.

Having a filed (and ideally recognized) claim strengthens the assignment. The initial filing deadline was January 31, 2025; late filings may still be possible before the final distribution-eligibility cutoff. Tell us your status in the form and we will advise on next steps.

There is no confirmed retail distribution date. As of mid-2026, claim determination work has largely concluded, but the trustee still needs to complete steps (including a domestic exchange account for Travel Rule compliance) before liquidating crypto and distributing. Industry updates have pointed to multi-year timelines.

A substantial portion of Haru-related assets was linked to B&S Holdings and FTX. Any FTX-linked recoveries that might eventually benefit Haru creditors remain contingent on separate legal and identity formalities. Those are not dates on which retail Haru creditors are currently being paid.
